This spacious house is built among rocks and trees at the shore of Lake Atitlan. It’s perfect for a relaxing getaway into nature, it’s wooden construction blends right into the mountain, giving amazing views of the lake and its surrounding volcanoes. Designed and furnished for you to have all the commodities of a fully equipped home; you can sit back, relax and enjoy the most amazing views of sunsets splashed with color, as well as a private beach perfect for an early morning swim.
Accommodation
The resting area is located on the second floor. There is one completely private bedroom with one queen size bed, and two common spaces. The deck on top of the kitchen contains two single beds. The deck on top of the living room contains one queen size bed. You will also find a microwave, 2 refrigerators and a freezer.
The house is located in a bay outside the San Marcos área, in front of the very popular towns of San Juan and San Pedro La Laguna. It’s accessible by boat, and by foot, walking through the ecological park Xekujil, which enhances the experience of having an adventure into nature, crossing this park will have a fee of Q25 every time for crossing the park.
You can also walk along the shore up to town. Take into account that it’s a rural area, and the paths along the shore are not paved paths as they are in town. This walk wouldn’t be suitable for someone with walking issues. If you like walking, this would be no problem compared to the quietness and soothing nature you’ll enjoy at the house.
The caretaker can arrange boat transportation for you if you prefer to go by boat. Remember to do your shopping at Panajachel, before you get on the boat to San Marcos.
Services and common areas
The lot contains two constructions, this house is located in the upper part of the lot. You have access to the sundeck and pier which is a shared area with the guests in the cabin below if any, located enough meters away from the cabin, for you to have privacy. Guests from both houses will have access to the laundry room located in the back part of this cabin as well as to the kayaks.
